Welcome to August. We hope your summer is going well. There’s a few announcements below which may be of interest to you. But as it’s the eighth month, first a look at Step 8, Tradition 8 and Concept 8.
Step 8: “Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.”
Tradition 8: “Alcoholics Anonymous should remain forever nonprofessional, but our service centers may employ special workers.”
Concept 8: “The trustees are the principal planners and administrators of overall policy and finance. They have custodial oversight of the separately incorporated and constantly active services, exercising this through their ability to elect all directors of these entities.”
A.A.’s Twelve Steps are principles for personal recovery. The Twelve Traditions ensure the unity of the Fellowship. Alcoholics Anonymous first published Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions© in 1953.
Written by co-founder Bill W. in 1962, the Twelve Concepts for World Service provide a group of related principles to help ensure that various elements of A.A.’s service structure remain responsive and responsible to those they serve. The Twelve Concepts can be found in the A.A. Service Manual/Twelve Concepts for World Service and should be read by every trusted servant.

New Grapevine Prayer & Meditation Book
A.A. Grapevine has a new book, “Prayer & Meditation,” coming to you in September 2021! Featuring powerful stories by members of Alcoholics Anonymous about the many ways they pray and meditate in their daily lives. The stories in this book show how members begin to pray and meditate, and then branch out to develop very personal, and often creative, ways to practice.
Chapters include: daily routines, traditional religious practices, activities and exercise, personal techniques, the Serenity Prayer, and connecting with nature and the universe. All stories were previously published in Grapevine. Great for people in recovery or those who want to explore prayer and meditation.

Updated Meeting Schedule
Is the information for your home group correct? Does the Zoom link work? Have you moved your location? Have you re-opened your suspended meeting? Please help Intergroup maintain an updated meeting schedule so we can keep our fellowship informed, and that anyone who needs to find a meeting can do so.
Recent enhancements have been made to the meeting page to easily filter active meetings, as well as quickly find online or in-person meetings using the drop-down under type. These can be further filtered for a specific region and/or day.
For in-person meetings, you can download an up-to-date meeting schedule in PDF to print. Make sure you refresh the page (Windows: Ctrl+F5, Mac: Command + R) to get the most current update.
If you’re setting up an online Zoom meeting, you can refer to the Managing Zoom Online Meetings post for helpful information. And if you’d like your meeting published in our website, please send us your meeting invitation via a Zoom Meeting Invite, to firstname.lastname@example.org. This will give us the complete information necessary to update your meeting page to keep the schedule accurate. Please put the meeting name, day, and time in the subject field.
