- SDI’s Archives Committee lost their storage space and is in need of a new home for their materials. The mission of the Archives Committee is to collect, preserve, and protect a variety of original material containing information of permanent historical value relating to the history of A.A. in Sussex County. If you can help, or know someone who can donate approximately 8 x 3 feet (cabinets are great), please email us. Many thanks.
- The last prep session for the Bash at the Beach event will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 9AM at the Harvest Diner in Georgetown. For more information, please send an email.
- The General Service Office (G.S.O.) publishes Box 4-5-9, a quarterly news bulletin describing news and notes about A.A. service, literature, events, sharing from groups, service committees and individual U.S./Canada A.A. members. To subscribe via email go here.
The Summer 2019 edition discusses preparations underway to celebrate A.A.’s 85th Birthday in Detroit, Michigan, July 2-5, 2020. an introduction to the Convention – and to Detroit – appears in this issue, along with information on A.A.’s Regional Forums. Also, learn more about the 69th A.A. General Service Conference and its latest meeting held at the end of May.
- The Delaware General Assembly (Area 12) will hold Panel 70’s elections for new trusted servants on September 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Jones Hall in Wesley United Methodist Church in Georgetown.
