District 13 Monthly Meeting
District 13 monthly meeting is held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at St Martha’s Episcopal Church located at 17 Maplewood St, Bethany Beach, DE.
District 13 includes Fenwick, Bethany, Frankfort, Selbyville, Dagsboro and Ocean View; geographic definition: the northern border is the Indian River; the eastern border is the Atlantic Ocean (from the DE state line) to the Inlet; the western border is Route 113, from the state line to the Indian River in Millsboro; the southern border is the DE/MD state lines).
Seventh Tradition contributions can be sent to District 13 ▼ PO Box 51 ▼ Ocean View, DE, 19970-0051.
The district meetings are an excellent resource for addressing group problems and concerns. Anyone may attend, but generally the group General Service Representative (GSR), attends on the group’s behalf and is kept up-to-date on A.A. activities and topics of interest at these monthly meetings.
In matters affecting A.A. as a whole, a group’s “conscience” is communicated to the Area Assembly by their GSR through the district committee member (DCM), who is an essential link between the GSRs and the area delegate to the General Service Conference. As leader of the district committee, made up of all GSRs in the district, the DCM is exposed to the group conscience of that district.
