A.A. Grapevine Special Announcement
The Grapevine and La Viña Celebrate Founders’ Day with Free Access from May 26 through June 10, 2021.
On June 10, 1935, Dr. Bob had his last drink and that day marks the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous. Since so many meetings are still closed, and groups have limited ability to celebrate our founding, Grapevine and La Viña will help mark this important date by giving everyone free access to their websites for two weeks. You will be able to read and listen to stories from current and past issues, access our sobriety calculator, read the daily quote, learn how you can contribute your story, and find ways to serve others using Grapevine and La Viña magazines.
Speaking of Founders’ Day, it is a virtual event this year, running on June 12 & 13. Although registration is required, there is no fee to register. Donations are greatly appreciated! For more information and to register, go here.
Local Meeting Lists
Many of our local meetings are changing things up — be it moving from online to indoors, indoors to outdoors, suspended to open, etc. We also get reports of incorrect Zoom links.
Please help us keep our meeting lists accurate so that anyone who needs to find a meeting can do so. Any changes to existing meetings please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. And if you are moving your meeting indoors, consider the suggestions in this post.
If you’re setting up an online Zoom meeting, you can refer to Managing Zoom Online Meetings post for helpful information. And if you’d like your meeting published in our website, please send us your meeting invitation via a Zoom Meeting Invite, to email@example.com. This will give us the complete information necessary to update your meeting page to keep the schedule accurate. Please put the meeting name, day, and time in the subject field.
Currently there are 41 meetings that have been marked as temporarily suspended due to facilities closing because of the pandemic. Most of these have been marked as suspended for over a year.
We would like to clean up this list, and are asking for your help to determine the status of these meetings. Are they going to resume? Have they permanently closed and should no longer be listed? You can find these meetings through this link. If you have any information to offer, please send us an email. And thank you. Your support is most appreciated.
Group Registration Forms
The General Service Office (G.S.O.) of Alcoholics Anonymous keeps track of the master list of A.A. groups and registering your group is done so that your group is formally recognized as an A.A. group. For information and forms to register your group, please see this page.
